New Horizons

It's official! Recently some developments have happened within our ministry and we decided to accept an assignment to the southern African nation of Botswana.
I came across a quote from Pauline Kezer.

“Continuity gives us roots; change gives us branches, letting us stretch and grow and reach new heights.”

As we shared in our April newsletter, for nearly 10 years we have had the privilege of serving with an established church here in Cameroon. This continuity has given us roots to provide a great foundation on which to begin our missionary journey. This assignment to Botswana will give us branches, allowing us to grow and reach new heights in our missionary calling. We are excited about this new adventure and look forward to continue sharing the love of God with the people of Africa.

Thanks for your prayers and support as we make this transition!

We love our life

Well, I guess it could be worse. We've seen a lot of time come and go since our last blog post in 2009. I know we probably will never have a mass following of followers on this site anyways, but it is a great way to keep a journal of our life even if we are the only ones who will ever see it. Oh well, maybe we can be more consistent in the future. But don't count on it. Seriously though, we are thinking of starting up a new blog very soon, so thought we would start brushing up on our writing skills before we launch something new. Plus there will be some transitions coming up for us in the near future and this could possibly motivate us to have a renewed passion for blogging about our African life.

We do love our life and wouldn't trade it for anything. We are grateful that we have had the opportunities to live in different countries, learn about new cultures and tell people how much God loves them. It's really a sweet life. Sure there are sacrifices involved, but there are many rewards as well. We do love our life. Stayed tuned for more.
